Even though it is not my cup of tea, there are people out there who love their puffers. If you plan on going the puffer route I would suggest something with a little shape, I don't care how skinny you are, shape, for me, is a must. It's quintessential to look feminine in what you wear, it can just make you feel empowered. This puffer retains a womanly shape while providing all the warmth. I also love that it can come in colors, why go for the classics? Spice it up in a rich plum or navy!

Dramatic Flare
For some reason I just really love this coat. It's a little on the unusual side and you are sure to be noted while walking down the sidewalk. It's on the fuller side so if that's not for you I might steer clear, though the belt does help to tame the fullness. I also tend to love necklines that show off the clavicle, which this open neckline does fabulously. There's a hood attached so if it starts to rain or snow and you're looking to protect the hair, simply put on the hood. Could also be cute paired with a scarf for extra warmth. I would wear this with skinny jeans and heels (for going out on the town with the girls or a date night). AVOID pants that are also on the fuller side, your shape will be lost if you have a full top with a full bottom.

For Those Who Want an Edge
This edgy, canvas trench is perfect for those who love the idea of a trench but want it in a little less conventional way. The cotton lining provides a little oomph of warmth. There are functional pockets, perfect for warming chilly hands in! The off-center zipper not only adds a touch of visual interest but it also is a nice contrast against the darker material of the coat. The belted waist will help to add shape to the coat (little details like belts or extra tailoring are key in not looking like a box in any garment, but especially coats). However, not strongly recommended for those on the shorter side due to length.
